1. After reading about projects and directives about EU harmonization, I am curious if the issue cardholder's maximum liability is also on the agenda of the Payments team. Since card lost/stolen or skimmed and the subsequent fraudulent use of the card can occur outside of the national country of the cardholder, does this maximum liability fall under EU or does it stay within the national boundaries? I wonder what actually determines the pricing of this cardholder liability? Why 150 euro for french cardholders but 100 euro for other EU countries?

2. Similar to my first question, as a card payment being disputed might not necessarily be a local transaction, should this kind of fee be looked into by the EU Internal Market/Payments Team or should it stay within the national boundaries.
