A new regulation has gone into effect that allows the bank to reject settlements on any Visa/MC check card transaction where the authorization was obtained more than 28 days previously. If you obtain an authorization, but don't charge until you ship you will need to get a fresh authorization after 28 days or risk a chargeback.

This is not a new rule simply the applicaiton of old principles.
