As far as I know, EMV was designed to authenticate card and terminal in POS/ATM transactions. Is EMV technically suitable for Internet transactions, assumed that consumers own a smart card reader? Is there any available solution that uses EMV authentication for Internet payments? What is the level of integration between EMV protocols and current browser-_base_d products? Thanks a lot!
