Online banking has been rapidly spreading, through out hte world, in a number of countries, there are more users of online accounts than credit card users.

Thus, it seems to be an obvious step to enhance current systems in order to make them more convenient for merchants and consumers transacting on the internet.

Indeed, this has been accomplished in a few countries already. My question is how important is online banking accounts to the future of merchant payment services.

And can someone point me to a resource were i can learn which countires were banks are offering merchant this payment option.
