Bank of Valletta has become the first bank in Malta to open POS terminals to accept V PAY cards, as a result of receiving certification from Visa.

Internet banking is growing in popularity in Romania, data shows. If in 2005, about 2 percent of Romanian citizens owned an online banking account, in 2007 the percentage doubled, with the Romanian internet banking market registering a sharp climb and banks reporting an average 11.87 million transactions worth 64.49 billion performed via their online platforms by a total of 865.000 users.

Financial service provider Citizens Business Bank enters an agreement with electronic payment systems software developer ACI Worldwide to implement ACI’s Enterprise Banker platform as its online banking system of choice for business customers.
