Not only is this new service faster, it is also an environmentally friendly choice, since it significantly reduces paper use. By the end of June, all 2,800 Desjardins ATMs will provide this new option. It should be underlined that close to 300 million transactions were carried out at Desjardins ATMs in 2006.

To access this new service, when choosing a transaction, users only have to take the following simple steps: - first, choose "Balance, statements or reimbursements" - choose "Statement of transactions" - then, select the "Display recent transactions" option - finally, select the account to be viewed.In 2002, with a view to reducing paper use and hence contributing to environmental protection, Desjardins was already introducing new services within its ATMs. It was at that time that caisse members were first able to pay their bills without envelopes at ATMs since the bills had already been pre-registered in the system. Afterwards, it was in 2005 that the "Fast cash withdrawal with no transaction record" feature was introduced at all Desjardins ATM terminals, again allowing for major reductions in paper use.
