Caixa acquires over 9,600 ATMs from Diebold PDF Print E-mail

US provider of self-service transaction systems Diebold signs an ATM sales agreement with Brazilian financial institution Caixa Economica Federal. According to the deal, Caixa will integrate over 9,600 Diebold full-function ATMs into existing fleet at its branches across the country. Caixa purchased the ATMs to help support its strategic self-service network expansion effort.

The new units will be powered by Diebold’s basic software platform and are custom-designed, featuring biometric identification as well as smart capabilities for identification of ATM operators and service technicians. The ATMs also come with security features such as anti-skimming technology with monitoring sensors for dip card reader, keyboard and LCD display, as well as electronic access control to open the upper cabinet door of ATMs.
