Lenovo, Intel, Alibaba team up for e-commerce across China PDF Print E-mail

China-based PC producer Lenovo, e-commerce services provider Alibaba and Intel have partnered for the development of e-commerce services across China. The initiative targets small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

As part of the agreement, the three companies are about to launch the first desktop PC product targeting SMEs' e-commerce in September 2008. The special desktop will embed Alibaba's platform Winport, allowing users to access e-commerce business.Less than 1 percent of the Chinese 42 million SMEs are developing e-business, but the market has recently registered rapid growth, totalling over 2,000 players in this domain.
