Amazon introduces Bill Me Later option for payments PDF Print E-mail

Amazon.com has added the Bill Me Later payments option, enabling customers to pay for their purchases online without using a credit card.

The service allows for clients to buy products and pay later. When using Bill Me Later for the first time, customers enter their birth date and the last four digits of their Social Security number. The service performs a credit check. If the customer is approved, he or she is able to purchase the item on the internet and receive a bill in the mail.

In December 2007, Amazon.com announced its intention to offer the Bill Me Later service and made an investment in the company.
