UK retail and commercial financial service provider Barclays has teamed up with security software developer and vendor Kaspersky to offer no-charge access to the latter’s antivirus software for all its new and existing clients who use its online banking service. The bank’s two million online banking customers thus gain access to a software normally worth GBP 51 per year, which provides anti-virus protection and also has anti-spyware and anti-adware functions, a spam filter, a firewall and parental control capabilities. The offer comes as Barclays entered a two year agreement with the Russian-based security software provider, which is to supply each Barclays online banking user with antivirus licenses that can be installed on a maximum of three computers. |
