IT compliance and security services provider Alert Logic has become part of the Payment Card Industry Security Vendor Alliance (PCI SVA). The PCI SVA is collaborating with institutions in the retail and payment card sectors to develop methods which target compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

Alert Logic is a PCI Security Standards Council Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) and because of this status, the company is certified to enable merchants to make evaluations on the security of their systems and gain compliance with the PCI DSS. Part of the company's technology, Alert Logic Threat Manager as well as the Log Manager product enable organisations to comply with Requirement 11 and Requirement 10 (of the PCI DSS) respectively. The Log Manager product mandates the collection, regular review and archival of log data.
