iPass rolls out Secure Franchise service PDF Print E-mail

US enterprise mobility services provider iPass has unveiled an add-on optional feature for its iPass Retail Office service that allows franchise store owners and key personnel to access corporate applications, such as point-of-sale (POS), customer loyalty and store surveillance systems  over any high-speed connection.

iPass’ Secure Franchise service is a PCI-compliant remote-access service that does not require retail franchisees to use the infrastructure of their corporate parent company. The franchisee can continue to leverage its existing internet connection such as DSL, cable or T1 circuit and obtain access with two-factor authentication and full compliance with PCI standards.

The Secure Franchise provides retail chains a method to meet strict payment card industry security standards that are mandated by credit card companies. The iPass Secure Franchise service is available to any iPass Retail Office or Branch Office customer for a USD 99 one-time set-up fee and a monthly fee of USD 30 per user. In related news, iPass reveals that Hallmark has deployed iPass' Secure Franchise service at 250 Hallmark independently-owned retail locations.
